FSR is pleased to partner with the Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago and other community health organizations in raising awareness of and financial support for lung diseases through the 2010 Hike for Lung Health.

Captain Andrea Wilson has set a goal of raising $20,000.00 for Team Sarcoidosis.  These funds will be used to support critical research and education initiatives at the Foundation.  We hope you will register to join them for either a one or three mile walk along Chicago's lakefront at Montrose Harbor on Sunday, October 3, 2010.

In addition to the Hike for Lung Health T-shirt, all registered Team Sarcoidosis walkers will receive a special thank you gift from FSR and additional prizes will be awarded to walkers who raise the largest amount in pledges.

Walk Details:
Sunday, October 3, 2010, at 10:00 AM
Lincoln Park (Stockton and LaSalle)
$10 Registration Fee Required

How to Help:

  • Register as a Team Sarcoidosis Walker (fee is $10).
You can then create your own page to tell your personal sarcoidosis story and be able to help raise money for FSR by asking your friends, family, neighbors and colleagues to sponsor you as a walker.
  • Make a General Donation to the Walk.  If you have contacted the Foundation and someone on our staff has been particularly helpful, sponsor that individual or pledge a general donation in their honor.

FSR will retain 75% of all funds raised by our walkers, the remaining 25% will be used by the Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago to defray event costs and to fund lung disease research in Metropolitan Chicago.  The registration fee of $10 per walker will cover costs for t-shirts, refreshments, park permits, etc.

Thanks to Our Other Hike Teams!
