FSR Hyperlink Standards
The principal intent of the links listed on this
site is that they are educational in nature, targeted toward
professionals or patients and designed for the purpose of
sharing reference information on sarcoidosis. Site content
must be based on peer-reviewed scientifically based research.
Requests for links are evaluated by an internal panel at the Foundation.
For more information, please contact info@stopsarcoidosis.org.
Links are provided as a
convenience to site visitors. Linked
sites are not under the control of FSR and access to any sites linked
from
this web site is at your own risk. FSR assumes no responsibility for, or
any obligation to monitor, the content of such linked Internet sites.
The inclusion of any link does not imply a recommendation or
endorsement by FSR of the linked site.
It is a good idea to compare information found on the
Internet with other sources.
-
Confirm that Web sites are maintained by
reputable health organizations.
-
If information seems to contradict with your
doctor's advice, talk to your doctor to clarify the differences in
the information.
-
Be careful when using information found on
bulletin boards or in 'chat' sessions. Testimonials and personal
stories are based on one person's experience and not necessarily
proven medical research.
-
Be suspicious of Web sites advertising or selling
products that claim to improve your health or cure your disease.
Both the Food
& Drug Administration and the Federal Trade Commission offer fact sheets on health fraud
or 'miracle' treatments for chronic illnesses.
